Privacy Policy — Move Log

In short. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with ad networks. Your location is never shown to other users on a map. You can delete your account instantly from inside the app.

Personal data is processed under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) no. 6698 and, where applicable, the GDPR.

02What we collect

Account — name, username, email, avatar: To create your account and run friend and club features.
Location (GPS): To record your route, calculate distance and speed, and produce your route video.
Background location: Only while a ride recording is active, or when automatic detection catches a ride. It stops when you are stationary.
Motion & Fitness: To recognise that you are in a vehicle or on a bike and start tracking automatically. Walking does not trigger it.
Device identifier: To bind your account to a single device for account security — identifierForVendor on iOS, ANDROID_ID on Android. No advertising identifier (IDFA / AAID) is used.
Heart rate (Apple Watch, optional): Read only while you start a ride from the watch; added to your route video and activity summary. A workout session is written to Apple Health.
Microphone: Push-to-talk radio, live intercom and voice messages — only while you press to talk.
Photos and camera: Profile picture, chat images and ride photos — only what you choose.
Purchase records: Transaction id, product and date, to verify your subscription and entitlements.
Technical logs: IP address, device model, app version and error logs, for security and troubleshooting.

What we no longer collect

Phone number. Earlier versions used SMS sign-in; it has been removed and sign-in now uses only Apple or Google. Any number stored on an older account is deleted with your account.

03How we use it

Recording your rides and producing cinematic route videos
Automatic ride detection, daily and weekly summaries, and notifications
Club features — live convoy, radio and spoken announcements, only in clubs you join
Verifying subscriptions and purchases
Security — detecting tampered or counterfeit apps (Apple App Attest, Google Play Integrity) and binding your account to one device

No advertising, no profiling, no data sales.

04Who we share with

Apple — Sign in with Apple, notifications, purchase verification, App Attest
Google — sign-in, Google Play purchase verification, notifications (FCM), Play Integrity
Cloudflare — hosting, database and media storage
Rendering infrastructure (Modal / RunPod) — your GPS trace and chosen settings are processed while your route video is produced; source data is not retained there afterwards

These are processors required to operate the service. We do not provide your data to third parties for advertising. Disclosure to authorities is reserved where legally required.

05How long we keep it

Push-to-talk radio clips: 1 day, then deleted automatically
Voice messages: 30 days, then deleted automatically
Rides, GPS traces, videos: While your account exists, until you delete them
When you delete your account: Account, profile, friends, messages and device identifier immediately; rides, videos and GPS traces within 30 days
Purchase records: As long as legal and accounting obligations require. They contain no name, username, email or avatar — only the internal account number needed to match refunds and subscriptions.

06Deleting your account

In the app: Profile → Delete account. It is deleted immediately, with no request needed. If you no longer have the app, use the deletion page.

07Your rights

Under KVKK article 11 and the GDPR you may access your data, request correction or deletion, object to processing, and request portability. Write to [email protected].

08Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Your account is bound to one device, so signing in elsewhere signs the previous device out. App authenticity is verified with Apple App Attest and Google Play Integrity.

09Children

Move Log is rated 4+ but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Significant changes are announced inside the app.
